Welcome to the Oasis
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” —
Nelson Mandela
As a newly retired teacher, I understand the challenges and joys that come with the teaching profession. My truth: the passion did not disappear simply because I retired. If anything, it gave me the energy and time to stay connected, support teachers, and stand up for students in ways I was unable to while in the classroom. I want to give back to the profession that brought love, laughter, and so many more sweet relationships than I could have ever imagined.
It’s essential to have resources and inspiration that can help you throughout each day and your collective teaching journey. This page is dedicated to providing valuable tools, favorite resources and inspiration for teachers…you will always be my people.

Favorite Resources for Teachers
In the ever-evolving world of education, having the just right resource is of upmost importance. Some of my favorite sites include Cult of Pedagogy and Edutopia. I also highly recommend Breathe For Change, which offers incredible wellness and SEL resources specifically designed for educators to help you maintain balance and mindfulness in your practice.
Inspiration from Fellow Educators
Always remember, inspiration can often come from those around us. Engaging with fellow educators through social media platforms has been personally rewarding. I have found that following leaders like Dr. Brad Johnson and community accounts like https://www.instagram.com/weareteachers not only provide a sense of community but also sparks creativity in my own teaching practice. Seeing the amazing things others are doing in their classrooms reminds us that we are part of a larger movement dedicated to the success and well-being of our students.

In conclusion, whether you’re looking for teaching resources, creative ideas, or a supportive community, there are countless avenues available to inspire and uplift you as a teacher.
Please drop questions or share below, continued mentoring is part of my journey.
Every child deserves a champion, an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection.
